YOU, ME & BPD: Our 20-Year Journey of Love, Growth and Connection

Allison and Alex are a couple of 20 years. They have walked a life of mental health challenges together. Allison and Alex will discuss challenges, learnings, and how Family Connections helped them navigate the complex world of big emotions in relationship

PRESENTERS:

Allison Li
Allison has lived and living experiences of the ‘big feels’ for most of her life. This includes a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder. Allison found the best support comes from a person-centred, trauma-informed approach, that focusses on mutual support and co-regulation. Allison is a strong advocate for the value of mental health lived experience, and systemic change.

Alex Li
Alex is Allison’s husband and supporter for over 20 years. Through this journey, Alex has learned many things – to be more attuned, to validate feelings, to find his own community of family and carers on the same journey (among many other things). Alex is passionate about family & carers awareness, rights, and wellbeing.
