Help more Australian families receive the gift of hope and connection
NEABPD Australia is committed to shining the light of hope on BPD in Australia by providing the latest global research and information with the community so that this knowledge can lead to increased understanding, compassion, recovery and raise public awareness. But, as you probably know all too well, BPD is an under-diagnosed and under-serviced disorder, and further work is needed to make treatment more readily available.
Since it's 2015 launch in Australia, the Family Connections™ program has helped over 2000 Australian families by giving them hope and connection to a wider community that truly understands the complexity of this disorder. Offered free of charge to ensure the program is accessible by as many as possible, participants leave the 12 week evidence based program with a toolbox of practical skills that can provide immediate results that can dramatically reduce the emotional dysregulation and stress in the family environment.
The Family Connections™ program is run entirely by our amazing team of volunteer leaders across Australia. We currently receive no government funding and rely entirely on the generosity of our NEABPD community in order to support further programs running.
Sadly, our waitlist has grown in 2020 due to the effects of the global pandemic and the number of programs able to be offered face to face. We are currently working hard to open up many more programs for 2021 to reach as many families as we can.
